INTRODUCTION

From 2003 onwards Ford developed there semi auto system called the “Durashift”. This system was fitted to the Ford Fiesta & Fusion 1.4 models, although Mazda decided to use the same system on their model Mazda 3.

The principal is exactly the same as the Vauxhall semi autos, being that they are both hydraulically operated systems. If you need clarity on how this system works, please refer to the Vauxhall page “how it works”.
